| Figure Skating is a blend of performance art and athletics. The art on this page was inspired by that wonderful blend. The first section is painted on china silk with silk paint. The second section is sculpture cast in forton (a hard form of plaster), and then painted. The third section is machine embroidery. My original drawings are scanned into the computer then programmed into embroidery stitches. The machine I use is a Brother 2001. Once the designs are stitched they are framed or quilted and made into wall hangings. |
