| The art on this page of my gallery is made of layers of dyed silk organza over fine cotton batiste. The process (shibori and batik ) lends results that are reminiscent of the wonderful Hubble photos found on the net. Four of the pieces were originally hung as a group. I now enjoy them separately in my studio. As you view the enlargements of thumbnails of the detail pictures, be aware that the photos are not out of focus. You are seeing two to four layers of dyed fabric. I shot the pictures at an angle so the multiple layers are visible. |
